The Flash has struggled a bit this season to have a really compelling narrative spine . Early on that was due to the legends of tomorrow set up it was responsible for after that was out of the way, season 2 still struggled to introduce a propulsive Zoom-centric story line. there have been plenty of good zoom-related episodes .but they haven't hung together well as a unified arc. barry's own emotional ups and downs haven't worked as well either to say nothing of Caitlin's emotional state consistently being fixed in a single episode, or until something else horrible happens to her.
